Biography:
Antonio Alberto Lampecco (Minucciano, 1932) is a Belgian ceramist known for his round spherical vases and small necks. He moved with his family to Maredsous in 1949 where he acquired Belgian nationality and later opened his own studio in Maredret (Namur, Belgium). He has exhibited in the Netherlands and abroad in important cities such as Florence, Paris and Lisbon. His ceramic works have won gold medals. Works in various collections (Maria Gomes...) and museums (ceramic museum of Andenne...). Since his death in 2019, his value has continued to rise. His works regularly appear in public sales at Christies, Sotheby's, Cornette de Saint Cyr, etc. Collectors are advised! Staying in the same period, we can compare his work to some artists like Jacques and Dani Ruelland.
