Biography:

Antonio Secci is an Italian painter born in 1944 in Dorgali, Sardinia. He trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, where he began his artistic career in the 1960s. Influenced by the Italian Spatialist movement, his work explores the relationships between matter, light, and space through abstract/brutalist painting, often executed in oil on panel or canvas. In the 1970s, he returned to live in Sardinia, in Cala Gonone, where he set up his studio. Inspired by the surrounding nature, he continued his artistic research until his death in 2024. His work remains marked by a free approach to abstraction, in constant dialogue with the landscapes, the sea, and the Mediterranean light.
