Biography:

Fernand Flausch (1948–2013) was a Belgian artist from Liège, trained at the city's Academy of Fine Arts, where he taught screen printing from 1973 onwards. A leading figure in Belgian Pop Art, he developed a colourful and exuberant visual universe combining painting, comics, neon, video and installations. In 1973, he won the Grand Prix at the São Paulo Biennial, marking the beginning of his international recognition.
