Biography:
Italian designer born in 1942, Franco Mirenzi began his professional career in 1964 in Milan, where he worked at the headquarters of Unimark International.
His Italian clients include Agip, Boston, Brionvega, Cedit, Citterio, Dreher, Fabbri, General Electric, Honeywell, Molteni, Norex, Sirrah and Unifor.
He has designed furniture, accessories, lighting, ceramics, hi-fi equipment, household appliances and exhibitions.
The Valenti firm produced his Vaga lamp, which was widely advertised and is now highly prized on the antiques market.
He was a member of the ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale).
In 1970, he was awarded the Compasso d'Oro.
In 1971, he won first prize in the Smau Industrial Competition Design.
