Table or desk chromed steel lamp by Jacques Charpentier, French designer from the 1970s.
Like a spring placed on a circular base, a helical chrome steel blade rises freely forming a cylinder.
A central axis in chromed steel allows the fixing and adjustment of a shade, adjustment using a locking wheel.

Jacques CHARPENTIER (1918-1986):
During the 1970s, Jacques Charpentier was a trendy parisian decorator, graduated in 1945 from the Boulle School in Paris, he specialized in the manufacture of decorative objects and lighting, he also designed steel stailnless furniture. His company (and workshop) located in Paris will have nearly 60 employees.
Friend of Réné Prou, he collaborates with Maison Jansen on many decoration projects and offers advice in interior design with its distribution chain Flat International. He also works with Philippe Jean and Pierre Folie. The Apollo and Chandigarh sofas, the stainless steel fireside chair, the Kalder Astrolabe and Modular lamps will be highly prized and iconic models of this Pop Art Space Age style and era.
