Biography:
Louis-Marie Londot was born on 11 March 1924 in Namur (Belgium) and died on 15 December 2010 in Bioul (Belgium). A master of polychromatic sacred art, he moved on to abstract art, with simple and sometimes even anecdotal subjects, but an art always dominated by colours and the artistic richness of their contrast. He then moved on to Pop Art and took part in the ‘Pop Art' exhibition at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels in 1965. The Maison de la Culture in Namur devoted an exhibition to him in 1978, and a catalogue was published in 2105 during an exhibition devoted to him at the Maison de la Culture in Namur.
