Hollywood Regency style "Glamour Chic" table or pedestal table created by Italian designer Romeo Rega in the 1970s.
Cylindrical pedestal structure in chromed steel and polished brass, central shaft in polycarbonate (lucite or plexiglass).
Wear consistent with age and use, clean polycarbonate cylinder with no cracks or deep scratches. The current 130cm glass top is used (no chip), can be replaced with 110cm glass (in stock). Note the traces of oxidation on the foot, see image 10 (red arrow).

Biography:
Romeo Rega was an Italian designer active in the 1970s who combined modernism and glamour in his creations. From 1969 onwards, he embodied the Hollywood Regency style, producing lighting, chairs, tables, display cabinets and more. His furniture is characterised by subtly assembled geometric shapes in a modernist style with clean lines, made of chromed or gilded metal, brass or brass-plated, Plexiglas, smoked glass, etc.
Rega is renowned for its allure and elegance, and is said to have worked with the designer for the stars Willy Rizzo (1928-2013) and Gabriella Crespi (1922-2017). Numerous pieces focusing on entertainment, such as coffee tables with display space and liquor cabinets, side tables, sideboards, shelves and decorative table lamps.
