Biography:
Serge Detriaux (1919–1996) was a Belgian painter known for his abstract works primarily created in oil on panel. Active from the 1950s, he developed a refined style, playing with colors, textures, and simple forms. Although not widely publicized, he is appreciated by collectors for the coherence of his work and the poetic atmosphere of his compositions. His paintings often bear evocative titles, such as here, Hope of a Dream or Veil of Flames.
