Biography:

The Cristalleries du Val Saint Lambert, founded in 1826 in Seraing, Belgium, had its origins in a collaboration with the Cristalleries de Vonêche, another mecca of European glassmaking. Following Vonêche's closure, its skills and craftsmen were transferred to Val Saint Lambert, bringing with them invaluable expertise that has helped build the new Cristalleries' worldwide reputation.

Located on the site of a former Cistercian abbey, the Cristalleries du Val Saint Lambert quickly established itself as a symbol of quality and innovation in the art of crystal. They perfected artisanal techniques such as doubled crystal, which enables several layers of coloured crystal to be superimposed, paving the way for complex and elegant engraved designs.

The 19th century marked the golden age of the manufactory, which became one of Europe's leading crystal manufacturers. Thanks to their international exports and their participation in numerous world exhibitions, the Cristalleries du Val Saint Lambert became a benchmark in the field, receiving numerous awards for the purity and finesse of their work.
